You can find out more about Becky below:
I’m Becky Zal-Sanchez. In case you’re curious about my last name… I am of Persian and Caucasian descent. My maiden name is Zal and I am happily married to a Sanchez.
I’m proud to have over a decade’s worth of experience supporting youth, families, and adults. Some of my past work experience has been within systems of community mental health, schools, child welfare, juvenile justice, foster care, and developmental disabilities.
I love being a therapist! I am trained in EMDR and use innovative, person-centered interventions to help clients heal from difficult feelings and events. Using a strengths-based approach, I focus on helping clients discover their inner aptitudes and core healthy identities in order to help heal other parts of themselves that are struggling.
I am very invested in my own growth and understanding; experiential knowledge allows me to provide a broad, nonjudgmental perspective when working with clients. I am also passionate about advocating for children’s mental health and have been fortunate enough to work with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Colorado Legislature to pass several pro-child laws.
